An article which was made when India was getting independence from “EAST INDIA COMPANY” or British rule in 1947. As we all know there were many princely states in India. They had a choice of either joining India or Pakistan. The duty of uniting all the princely states was under our home minister of that time Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Who successfully convinced all the princely states to join free India. But during that period Jawahar Lal Nehru and king of Kashmir who appointed sheikh Abdullah as Prime Minister of J&K and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel were kept away from this matter. As a result “ARTICLE 370” was formed. This article had special provisions for residents of J&K. it simply meant that the people of J&K had their different laws and had no connection with Indian constitution. This article also gave them freedom to have their separate flag.
This article was not actually needed as J&K was given to India at time of partition then what was the need for article 370?
Another question which is still unanswered is
If people of J&K wanted to be with free India why were they not allowed to join?
This article clearly proved that this article was made for personal benefits of politicians and was useless for residents of J&K. congress which is know as the most powerful political parties of India did not take any actions on this article even after knowing the demerits of this article. This article inspired terrorism in all possible ways. Luckily our prime minister Narendra Modi expelled this article after overlooking about the loss J&K residents were facing. They didn’t get education properly they were provoked against Indian army which eventually was loss of Indian army. The decision government has made of removing article 370 was necessary. As a result of this decision terrorism will be brought to a cutting edge. People of J&K can have opportunities in all aspects. Every citizen will be seen equally. India will be a secular country indeed. There will be no specials laws, rules and regulations for people of J&K everyone will be under same law of Indian constitution. The abolishment of this article 370 was opposed by our dear neighbor Pakistan in United nations. Which was rejected by United Nations. This law gives benefit to Indian citizens as trades can be directly done now new businesses will create gateway for employment in J&K. schools and Universities will be established so every person can get education equally. Non J&K citizens will no more need any type of special permissions to visit J&K There will not be two flags anymore. there will be only one flag “TIRANGA”. As a conclusion we can say that a statement which is always used “every person of a country is equal in law” will come true. The step which should have been taken long ago is finally taken by someone who really cares about this nation. People died fighting and protesting for abolishment of this article 370. There sacrifice didn’t go in vain. In the end we can say that India is a united nation now.
