Monsoon is one of the best season for our country. India is land of agriculture for which monsoons are a boon. But there was a time when people were happy while monsoon arrived.They are also happy now but this year was a rough year for many cities like Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli and Patna.
When monsoon started after a long period of summer there was relief for people as sun was covered by clouds filled with water.The farmers who prayed for good rain were now praying for the rain to stop because it was 3 days and rain didn’t stop.
Dams filled upto the mark there was water everywhere you see.
People died from drowning , Animals died and the whole city was closed for 3 days.People were not able to come out of their houses.Government started evacuating everyone from flood prone areas every single gate of dam was opened to let the water flow because if it was not done water would have made its own way.
Many organisations and NGO’s came forward to help people in every possible way, Food packet,shelters,clothes and what not.This was the time everyone helped each other like one family.Luckily no one was lost but still it was a catastrophe.
Whenever clouds gathered in sky people got scared and there was a point where it seemed that rain is here to bring destruction there was water upto 1st floor and according to surveys the rain of this year was way far more than 10 years average rainfall.There is a saying that everything is good when it’s in limit.Hopefully now it seems to be better than before but still monsoon has not stopped there are clouds in the sky and fear in people’s eye.
Hope we never have to see such days in upcoming years.
