Film based on the events happened in Batla House case in Delhi in the September, 2008 which is a fictional version of the event taken place at that time. Told through the view point of ACP Sanjay Kumar (John Abraham).
Film shows the encounter of the terrorists of the group Indian Mujahedeen involved in the 2008 serial bomb blasts happened over various cities in India and the struggling life of the Special Cell of Delhi Police team involved in the case with the controversies over the encounter. In the encounter two terrorists are killed along with a police officer where ACP Sanjay Kumar after that stuck in a judicial enquiry and the case goes on till years after which the main accused is caught and the Special Cell team is proved not guilty and won the case.
Movie uses some of the real news footages and clips, which was a controversial topic without taking any sides and showed the reality along with the politics affecting the case.
Film is stuck to the genre thriller and has balanced the amount of patriotism along with the little action. The directed action and the chase sequences ensure several edges of the seat moments. Roles played by all the actors and actress are good.
Batla House in spite of few flaws is a must watch movie.
